One Oscar nominee looked anything but "Misérables" in white fur, while another starlet looked ready for a "Spring Breakers" wet T-shirt contest. Anne Hathaway was pixie perfect at a recent fundraising event in Los Angeles. She accessorized her adorable three-quarter sleeve white mesh mini dress with a metallic purse and heels, and then topped it off with an elegant off-white fur coat. It can be difficult to play with proportions like this, but Annie’s an expert; the cropped coat stands out without having to compete for attention. If she had been on the freezing East Coast instead of sunny California, her outfit would have looked just as fantastic with a pair of thick black tights. Well done, Ms. Hathaway!
Across the globe, Vanessa Hudgens has been busy promoting "Spring Breakers" with cast mates including Ashley Benson and Selena Gomez. At this press stop in Brazil, Baby V chose a midriff-baring white lace outfit. Though she certainly has fantastic abs, she looks more like a bride gone astray than a former Style Superstar winner. The unflattering skirt hits her leg awkwardly, and the puffed sleeves on the crop top look dated. Plus, while bare midriffs may be all over the Fashion Week runways, this trend is better suited for the catwalk than the red carpet—it’s just tacky.
